BA in Cinema & Media Studies - How to Apply
Admission to the Film - Cinema & Media Studies (BA) program is based on your academic performance. We accept applications for entry in January and in September.
If you are currently an Ontario high school student, submit your application to the York University: School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design - Film Cinema & Media Studies (BA) program on the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) website.
If you are not a current high school student in Ontario, you may apply through OUAC or you may apply through the York University Office of Admissions.
Current York students interested in transfering to the program should contact the department directly to apply.
The deadline to apply for January 2015 admission is December 3, 2014.

As a guide, the average required for admission to the BA in Film in recent years has been in the mid 70s (a B/B+ average) for high school students and C+/B for current university/college students.
Note: You can apply to more than one degree program in the Department of Film; however you must apply separately to each.
